Summer Training Schedule

All details regarding our summer training programme are below:

The last weekend training will be Sunday 28th July. We will continue normal Monday-Friday training until Friday 2nd August with the only exception being Elites squad training on Friday moving to the College pool at 18:15-19:30. 

We will be continuing with a reduced schedule during the weeks beginning 5th August & 12th August. We will be running sessions only on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursdays, all at the College Pool. The sessions will be run as follows:

18:15-19:15 – Avenirs, Poussins, Benjamins

19:15-20:45 – Cadets, Juniors, Seniors, Minimes, Elites & Masters

There will be NO training from 17th August to Sunday 1st September.

2024 BSSC Coaching Team

We are delighted to announce the new BSSC coaching team that will be in place from 4th March 2024.  Our new coaches will be introduced in more detail over the next few weeks, but for now please see the summary of the team.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Joe Collins for stepping in as acting Head Coach through Counties and to Laure Grattepanche for helping out with the club’s coaching needs at short notice.

Our new coaches bring an exceptional amount of new knowledge and experience to the club.  Their ambitions on introducing a new club structure, new training methods and an increased engagement with both our swimmers and parents will really allow the club to create a positive swimming community.  Working together will help maximise our swimmer’s potentials, whilst keeping it fun and enjoyable for everyone involved. 

We are also excited by the opportunities that having a larger coaching team presents, bringing much more depth and flexibility to do more events, training camps, galas and to offer a more personalised coaching experience.

The committee thanks all the members for their continued support.

Harlow & Bishops Stortford 2024 Regional Qualifier (3ER240144)

Entries are now closed for the inaugural Harlow Penguins and Bishop’s Stortford Swimming Club 2024 Regional Qualifier Open Meet, taking place on Saturday 23rd March 2024 at Harlow Leisurezone Swimming Pool, CM20 3DT.

The following events are available for ages 9 and above:

  • 400m Freestyle
  • 200m all events
  • 100m all strokes
  • 50m all strokes

Planned timings are:

  • Session 1: Warm up 12:30 for a 13:30 start
  • Session 2: Warm up (provisionally) 17:30 for a 18:30 start
